  • Katia Lupinetti is a Research Scientist at the National Research Council of Italy (CNR), Institute of Applied Mathematics and Information Technology (IMATI), since 2019. She carries out also teaching activity on Informatics at the University of Genoa.

In December 2013, she graduated in Mathematics at the University of Genoa getting the Annual Prize for the Best Thesis in Computer Graphics. In January 2018, she received the title of Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering conferred by both the École National Supérieure d’Arts et Métiers and the University of Genoa.

Her main research activity involves processing and visualization of 3D digital content to enhance and share knowledge within factories. In particular, her studies focus on the characterization and comparison of 3D digital models and their visualization and manipulation in virtual and augmented reality environments.
