High Performance Computing on Complex Systems
My research activity mainly focus on development and implementation of efficient algorithms. In particular I'm focusing on exploitation of heterogenous architectures (multi-core, many-core and GPU based) in computational intensive application. I'm also working on the design and deployment of a large infrastructure for hydro-meteo simulation on high performance computing resources (european grid and prace nodes) Previously I focused on algorithms for manipulation of large geometric datasets, with a focus on multi-scale and external-memory techniques. In fact, my PhD thesis focused on out-of-core manipulation of huge multiscale 2D and 3D datasets.
