Raffaele Argiento

  • Raffaele Argiento was born in Naples on May 1976. He is Researcher at the National Research Council, Istituto di Matematica Applicata e Tecnologie Informatiche  "E. Magenes" (CNR-IMATI), Milan (Italy). He received his BSc in Mathematics at Federico II University, Napoli (2000), his Master in Applications of Mathematics in Industry and Services at University of Milano-Bicocca (2001) and his Ph.D. degree in Statistics at Bocconi University, Milano (2007). He spent part of his Ph.D studies at University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, USA).

    His research interests include Bayesian nonparametric methods, system reliability and probability and statistics in the electrical power industry.

    He regularly teaches undergraduate and post-graduate courses at Polytechnic of Milan and Bocconi University.  Since 2010 he is in the organization committee of the applied bayesian summer school (ABS). Since 2013 he is executive director of ABS.

    He has been elected Treasurer of the Industrial Stastatistics section af the International Society for Bayesian Analysis (IC-ISBA)
