Tuesday, 8 March 2016, 3 p.m. (sharp), Prof. Martin Brokate, Technische Universität München, at the conference room of IMATI-CNR in Pavia, will give a lecture titled:
DIFFERENTIAL SENSITIVITY FOR EVOLUTIONS WITH HYSTERESIS
as part of the Applied Mathematics Seminar (IMATI-CNR e Dipartimento di Matematica, Pavia).
At the end a refreshment will be organized.
Rate independent evolutions are nonsmooth. We consider generalized differentiability properties of the associated solution operator, in particular the existence of Newton derivatives, and connect them to questions in control and numerical analysis.
